Missionary Mathew Jacob entered into full time ministry exactly 40 years ago. He began his journey by faith into full time ministry on 14th july 1984 like we read about Matthew 9:9.

Greetings to you dearly beloved and asking for your continued prayers.
Some years ago had received an unexpected call from the best selling Author of the best selling book, “Death of A Guru” by Dr Maharaj.
Rabi Maharaj, originally from Trinidad and currently based in California met me at my Rosary Florist, Bangalore. I shared with him about my early days in the Charismatic Renewal with Bro Fritz and Pastor Sam Dharam ( Ram Prasad based in WI, USA) was another leader that taught us God’s Word back in 1978.
From being a florist selling flowers at Rosary shoppe to now Sharing the Rose of Sharon is my passion to saving souls one day at a time!
Wow.
It’s been an incredible journey and walk of faith during the past 40 years. Another miracle was how Gift of God Ministries Int’l. was born out of a vision 23 years ago.
Today I want to share about the various Ministries that influenced me. It was the Gideon’s International that gave me the first New Testament distributed during the assembly @ st Joseph’s boys school, Bangalore. It was the same pocket bible ( New Testament with Psalms & Proverbs) that was my daily bread after being born again.
# Thank the Lord for the first seeds of the Gospel shared by two brothers from Campus crusade for Christ, the Gospel booklet “4 Spiritual Laws” was shared to me at Christ College campus.
In July 1984, I started my journey into full time ministry in the slums of Dharavi, Asia’s largest ghettos. It was in a little shack that I knelt on the floor and prayed committing my life for full time ministry. Then the Lord led me to be trained for ministry during the next 5 years.
In the early 1990’s the Lord helped me to complete my Masters in Arts from Annamalai University ( English) & later Journalism from Indra Gandhi Open University-The Lord’s anointing upon me enabled me to become a Christian Journalist for over 12 years. The call as a Missionary Evangelist to the Nations came in March 2001 when the Lord opened doors to travel overseas.
After my Renewal days at our Bread of Life group, the Evangelical Union students Ministry at St. Andrews Church, were stepping stones grow in the word of God.
# Became the first member of the evening home church at Pastor Paul Thangiah’s FGAG, Bangalore in 1982. I was also trained and blessed to attend The Haggai International for leadership at Maui, USA in November 2005 was another chapter in improving leadership skills.
Youth With A Mission in 1991 was a miracle, doing a DTS program with YWAM Delhi at Gurgoan in July gave me a world focus on missions, was another God inspiring training in my life.
# My first support in the ministry was received after fasting for 3 days in January 1992 @ Delhi Revival church & later joined a church planting ministry in N India & Gospel for Asia 1995-2002 as Editor of it’s Happening magazine✍
I had faced many challenges during these times faced in the ministry but Thank You JESUS, Hallelujah to our God. The Holy Spirit has restored, renewed, revived & refired me to carry the torch of the glorious Gospel to the ends of the earth taking me across the nations.
Thankful to all of you for your continued prayers and all the blessed experiences the Lord took me through it all and praying that in the Body of Christ, we may grow in the fullness and be perfected in Christ Jesus, Our coming King, the hope of glory!
Heb 12:1-2 Looking to JESUS to complete the race, and thanks be to Abba Father to get me to my destiny and to do His will each day. Thank you LORD!!!
